Film biography

Sandor was an assassin who worked with Jaws in tracking down Stromberg’s submarine tracking system technology. Bond encounters Sandor first, when Sandor waited for Bond at Aziz Fekkesh (Nadim Sawalha)’s house in Egypt and shot Felicca (Olga Bisera) who was waiting for Bond. Bond chases Sandor to the roof of the building and a short fistfight ensues. Sandor is killed by Bond who throws him off the building after telling Bond where Fekkesh is.

Behind the scenes

Although Ian Fleming had requested that no elements from his original book The Spy Who Loved Me (1962) be used in the film series, the novel’s antagonists would provide the basis for the characters of Jaws and Sandor. The novel features two thugs named Sol Horror and Sluggsy Morent. Horror is described as having steel-capped teeth, while Sluggsy had a clear bald head.
